Pokemon League Reboot Information

(Directly from Facebook; Edits Coming Soon)

Alright so its time to reveal all the details for season 1. We need a minimum of 16 people to begin the season. We’re currently at 10! If you know anyone who likes to play Pokemon see if they’re interested. The more the merrier. Once we reach 16 players we’ll divide everyone up into divisions.

From there we’ll create a schedule and every week everyone will have an opponent, whether its from your division or not. EVERYONE WILL ALWAYS HAVE A GAME EVERY WEEK! Considering you have an entire week to battle your opponent anyone who no-shows will receive an automatic loss and a point deduction.

What, point deductions? Yeah that’s right. Not only will you have to worry about Win-Loss Records but everyone in the season will be participating in the “Wild Pokemon System” which is our version of the Wild Card. For every game you play you have the chance to win or lose points. When you face someone in your division the stakes are even higher!

+1 Point – Victory: Congratulations you won a game!

+2 Points – Divisional Victory: Congratulations you crushed a division rival!

-1 Point – Loss – You failed to defeat your opponent!

-2 Points – Divisional Loss – You suffered a crushing defeat to a division rival! Get back in there

At the end of the normal season the person with the most points in each division goes to the Playoff Tournament! If the person at the top of the division also has the highest amount points then whoever has the second highest point total will move to the Playoffs. This means that even if you’re in 4th place in the division you still have a chance to upset everyone else and win the Championship!

Each season is going to have a theme and the theme for Season 1 is: Standard. This means the only restrictions for team building are:

1) Follow the Ban List (Linked Below)
2) Only 1 Mega (Like the Games)
3) Only 1 Legendary
4) Only 1 Pseudo-Legendary

Teams will still need to be approved for two reasons. The first being to make sure they are following the rules, and the second for when we create trainer cards for the website and videos.

In addition once you play the first game your move set and items are locked in and since we’ll still be archiving all of the matches we’ll be able to piece together if cheating occurs.
